Paris, France — Liebherr has taken the wraps off the MLTB 1025‑4.1, a high-mobility heavy recovery platform purpose-built for tactical and operational recovery in contested environments, at Eurosatory 2026 in Paris today.
The 4-axle vehicle is designed to recover disabled, damaged, or immobilised assets — both wheeled and tracked — under time pressure and in complex terrain. Equipped with dual rear-positioned Rotzler winches, the MLTB 1025‑4.1 enables synchronised remote-controlled recovery the moment it arrives on task. An optional armoured cab allows the crew to operate in higher-threat environments without compromising protection.
Recovery is no longer solely a logistic function; it is a critical enabler of force availability and tempo.
The platform is fully interoperable with multinational heavy mechanised brigades and mixed NATO fleets. Beyond military operations, the MLTB 1025‑4.1 is designed for dual-use civilian emergency response — disaster relief and infrastructure recovery — reflecting Liebherr's broader strategy of adapting proven civil technologies for defence applications.
The unveiling is part of a major Liebherr presence at this year's Eurosatory. The company is showcasing more than 20 exhibits across a 220 m² booth, including earthmoving machines, drive systems, energy storage solutions, and its S1 autonomous single-axle concept vehicle. A live remote-control demonstration (LiReCon) of a crawler excavator and bulldozer is also running from the stand.
Eurosatory 2026 runs from 15–19 June at Paris Nord Villepinte. The exhibition has grown 30% in exhibitor numbers to more than 2,600, underscoring surging global demand for defence and security technology.
